NUEVOS AIRES KLEZMER is a show in which three brothers, raised among jewish music, invites you to travel through the ancient sounds of Eastern Europe sharing its story and mixing klezmer music with the Argentine culture, through tango music.
The Linetzky Family Klezmer show, has a minimalistic scenic design based on memories, recollections and musics from this family, balancing original songs and classical ones in which the sher, the freilaj and the waltz are combined with tango rythms, providing both a homage and a fresh and original take into jewish music.
Nuevos Aires Klezmer portrays with great fidelity the culture and roots of the Jewish music which, almost a century ago, was brought from the old continent. Through different tales, Zeide Iosef (the grandfather), an immigrant from Beltz, appears and we learn that he devoted his whole life to teaching and passing the legacy of the music from his hometown to future generations.
